Over night the model had an "unrecoverable error". It seems to have occurred near, but not at, the end of phase 1. It does seem to have happened right around the time the model was going to trickle, though I can't tell exactly. This happened on a stock Dell laptop well above the minimum requirements; sleep and suspend modes are off. The result ID is 327. The error code it "exit code -5 (0xfffffffb)". Andrew |

Hi, I did see that post after I posted. My machine is a stock dell inspiron 5150 laptop: 3Ghz P4 Mobile, 512Mb ram, XP Pro with SP 1, used mainly for work. I didn't defrag over this period, Mcafee security runs in the background, and CPDN classic was running at the beginning (completing phase 4). I can’t discount that it was a calculation error given that these laptops run very hot and I’m sure the CPUs degrade rather quickly (not sure what the core is), but I would still be surprised if this were the case. The model was stopped and started numerous times as I moved my laptop from place to place. Who knows what happened (other than Carl), but that’s what beta testing is for. Andrew |
