The binary started by viz (hadsm3viz-4.10-*) on my new boinc installation (now working on its first model) requires libstdc++.so.6. My RedHat 8.0 machine has no later than 5.0.1 My Fedora Core 2 machine has no later than 5.0.5 Why does hadsm3viz-4.10 require a libstdc++ that leaves systems as recent as Fedora Core 2 (with all updates, as of last week) unsupported? Hi, Ben, Welcome to the Boards. I play with SuSE 9.0 & 9.1 and can't use the viz. Tolu postd that static links are required and part of the viz is dynamically linked. I found an rpm at rpmseek.com which includes libstdc++.so.6. It's supposed to be for Mandrake but works fine with SuSE 9.1. At any rate, I can now use viz again. The rpm is at: http://rpmseek.com/rpm-dl/libstdc%5C%5C6-3.4.1-4mdk.i586.html?hl=de&cx=0:-:0:1781028:0:0:0 > Hi, Ben, > > Welcome to the Boards. > > I play with SuSE 9.0 & 9.1 and can't use the viz.
