Hi All

When I was looking with BOINC view what the situation on my project was I saw that my project was suspended and the message was "4-3-2005 15:03:35|climateprediction.net|Pausing result 2di0_200131931_0 (removed from memory)", is there anybody who can tell why this is happened, the computer was not in use so there was memory plenty enough, I hope that there is some information availeble.

You can suspend and restart the project by right-clicking the BOINC icon and selecting the item.
Check if you can resume. I don't think it's a serious problem.

Hi, Browny,

Are you running multiple boinc projects? The message resembles what people get when boinc stops one Client and starts another. (I can't confirm the exact language because my machines run only CPDN.)

If so, you can save a bit of re-run after each CPDN suspension by editing your account to set this item to "yes":
Leave applications in memory while preempted?

(CPDN creates a checkpoint every three Model-days [144 Time Steps] and the Model falls back to the last one after a suspension if that option is set to "No".)

Jim

Hi Jim.

No I am not Running multiple projects, its running already and started where it has stopped but I still don't know why, I did a restart of it and ev'rything is workin fine, why I want to know it happened is: The machine is working day & night so this problem is happening in the middle of the night than its not working for the time that I'm sleeping and thats a pity and I think that you are agree with that, so maybe we will hear about it in a later stage or so, thank you for your answer.

Willem,

Haven't experienced it, don't recall having read it, and can't find a reference (assuming I'm searching on the proper words). Can't help. Sorry.

... I hope someone else can help.
