I downloaded BOINC from this site recently, and haven't received any projects. I have XP/SP2, and have been successful in seeing a screensaver, though it reads only, "no applications are running."

The message log reads

--- - 2005-03-06 00:30:59 - No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults
--- - 2005-03-06 00:30:59 - Starting BOINC client version 4.19 for windows_intelx86
--- - 2005-03-06 00:31:12 - Running CPU benchmarks
--- - 2005-03-06 00:32:13 - 2079 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
--- - 2005-03-06 00:32:13 - Finished CPU benchmarks
--- - 2005-03-06 00:32:13 - 684 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
--- - 2005-03-06 00:32:13 - Benchmark results:
--- - 2005-03-06 00:32:13 - Number of CPUs: 1

Please let me know how to fix this. Thank you.

Have you 'attached' to a project? You do this from settings in the BOINC window using the information in the email you were sent by the project when you registered.

If you have, is there anything in the 'projects' tab of BOINC?

There is lots of information about BOINC here.

Thank you. That did the trick. The e-mail I had received was not clear about this.
