Hi all,

KMi at the Open University have told us they'll be putting the old forum (phpbb) back up today. I'm sure this will be welcomed by everyone. For those of you who haven't had a look at these boards, we really recommend it: there's a wealth of knowledge there about climate and distributed computing.

Even when the statement of "phpbb boards should be back today" is true for everyday until end of the days of Earth (and my signiture got not outdated after weeks), an update should follow.

Sure. KMi told us that they'd bring the boards up by the end of the week. We're waiting for them to follow through on that undertaking.

Will ring them Monday morning (UK time) and find out what the delay is.

Hmmm... we (Sylvia and I) have been trying to see what the delay is. We've emailed and phoned KMi but haven't managed to have any success.

Okay, Sylvia spoke to KMi today. The relevant guys there are tied up finalising a bid this week [Sylvia will have some sympathy with them over that just now I'm sure :-) ] and they reckon the boards will be up on Monday.

I really hope so.
