In a Work Tab of BOINC 4.19, right-click on CPDN current working unit - 'Show graphics' should appear.

Ceri,

If you are doing what Honza suggests and all you get is an empty window where the graphics should appear, it is possibly because your graphics driver doesn't support OpenGL or is somehow corrupted. Try upgrading to the latest graphics drivers.

Hi,
Same question but with Linux and BOINC 4.25
I'm testing it (wow, it's faster under Linux than Windows, I'm impressed :o)) but I can't see the viz. Is it normal or is it a bug ?

I've got the same problem. no graphics. All my drivers are up to date. I run seti beside CPDN and I can see the graphics for seti.

Hi Skildude
If you're under linux, you could try this

Do you have a ATI graphic card ?
If yes, It's probably a problem of driver. New drivers are not working very fine with CPDN viz.
If no, I don't know.

It seems to be a BOINC problem. If you are registered with SETI you can post on the Seti board and log the problem along with everyone else :)

nope this is not a BOINC problem just a CPDN problem. I run both Seti and CPDN and can watch every WU of seti as it is crunched. I cannot watch the CPDN unfortunately

This is still a BOINC problem, I'm afraid. Some people have the opposite experience, and find that they can see CPDN graphics, but not others; it just seems to be a matter of luck. If you look at the very long thread I referred you to you will learn more about it.

It is confusing that the SETI board also covers BOINC issues, but that is because they are both handled at UC Berkeley.

Yeah this is a CP problem. SETI has already released a fixed version of their app. and Einstein has a beta version that works very well.

The graphics problem is apparently fixed now, at least on my computer. I use windows XP in a 1.8 GHz celeron computer with 496 MB RAM. The latest BOINC version appears to be 4.45.

Now the graphics are down again. The main thing I am worried about, though, is loss of credits after so much computing.
