I have Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz HT, on Win XP SP1 I have joined just today and am using BIONIC 4.25 When I click show graphics initially it shows the globe, but when I click it after 1 hour of working (.25 %), it does not show anythins. Instead it gives a computational error and downloads a fresh WU and starts on it. ERROR : 3/11/2005 10:53:02 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 0uhk_000059931_0 (There are no child processes to wait for. (0x80) - exit code 128 (0x80)) What is going on |

Sorry, your post seems to have been missed. This is a bit tricky, but it could be simply a matter of your graphics card being slow and causing a conflict with processing when the cpu had to do both jobs. Upgrading with the latest drivers may help, but you may need a more modern card. One test may be how well you can run a game such as Doom 3, or Half Life 2, which are used by magazines here to test new graphics cards. Only you will know how good your present card is. There have been 1 or 2 other posts recently about the viz not working in 4.25, so it more be something more involved. It works OK on my machine, which has a NVIDA GeForce 5900XT. Les |
