Hi There,
I have boinc version 4.19 running on my Linux server running Debian 3.1.
I have notiched that when I restart the server, Climateprediction of often "crasches" and downloads a new file to work on...

Any ideas why? and how to awoid the problem (don't tell me not to restart the server).

Wherever possible you should try to close BOINC manually before restarting the server Bent. If BOINC is forcibly closed during a file write you could end up with things in an unrecoverable state where the only option for CPDN is to crash the model.

Thank you...
I don't have much knowledge of Linux, yet, so could you tell me, how do I close BOINC, without using:
ps aux | grep boinc
then finding hasdsm or boinc
and then kill "number"
That's the only way I know right now, and I guess that it would also force it to stop right away?

But thanks for your help Thyme :-)
