Hello all, Im new here and could use some help. Can someone look at my file( does CPDN have the same logs like SETI?) and tell me what I am doing wrong? I have tried two work units so far and both have errored out after a few days and stopped. I would really like to run CPDN but if its just going to crash on me whats the point. Thanks! Amd Duron(run Seti for 2 1/2 years) Win XP PRO 756 Mb 160 Gig Bionc 4.19 |

Hi, What is the speed of your Duron, and is it overclocked? CPDN is more demanding of the stability of the system than other DC projects, and any small hardware fault in the CPU or memory will result in instability. The error messages for the failed Work Units indicate a -5 error, which usually means that the temperature somewhere in the model went to absolute zero, a symptom of an instability. It's strange that you ran these for several days and received no credits. You should receive 90 odd credits per trickle, and, somehow, you have no trickles. |

Its a Duron 800 and its not OCed. Its funny, I know this isint the fastest thing out there but it has always been rock solid. Is there a program that I can run to see if errors show up? Should I DL another work unit and see if this repeats itself again? Thanks for your help. |
