Re: Warming Atmosphere/Ocean absorbs LESS CO2 Has anyone studied into the effect that Warming Atmosphere/Ocean absorbs less carbon dioxide? ie: A) Climate warming makes air drier over large coninental landmasses, resulting less CO2 absorbed by the moisure in the air (eg: interior Australia, interior North America, etc.) B) warming ocean means it can absorb less CO2 (hence releasing more CO2 back into atmosphere?) this (B) scenario is discounting the massive dying off of ocean life due to ocean warning (which in itself releases CO2 due to dead organisms). |

Here is a couple of links for you. While classic board down Grahamd wrote <a href="http://boincforum.info/boinc/viewtopic.php?t=63&start=0">Introduction for Carbon and Sulphur cycle - ocean chemisty</a> <a href="http://www.realclimate.org/index.php?p=134">Real climate: How long will global warming last?</a> I'll limit my answer to >Climate warming makes air drier Doesn't warming make the atmosphere capable of holding more water? Or were you thinking of relative humidity rather than absolute humidity? |

<a href="http://www.stabilisation2005.com/55_Jerry_Blackford.pdf">Here</a> is a paper from the Avoiding Dangerous Climate Change conference. And here is a summary of the Hadley Centre <a href="http://www.metoffice.com/research/hadleycentre/models/carbon_cycle/models_ocean.html">ocean carbon cycle models</a>. ____________________________<br> <a href="http://www.boincforum.info/boinc/">boinc forum</a> and <a href="http://www.uk4cp.co.uk/">United Kindom</a> team, my climate change <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/mike_atkinson/">blog</a>. |
