Hello,
I am participating in several projects. This morning I noticed a strange thing: two of my projects' names has been taken over by another one. Unfortunately, one of them is climateprediction. Now in the BOINC projects I have three projects under the same name (Pirates). When I tell BOINC to connect the the project website I got connected correct- to the climateprediction.net. But when I try to update the project, it tries to connect to the scheduler of another project which name has been taken over- http://burp.boink.dk. And of course can do the update, as the account key is not correct.
The action I have taken- I upgraded the BOINC to version 4.25 and later 4.27, did not help. I also quit the projects of Pirates and BURP, but it did not roll back my climatepredition.net project.
When looked into the program files/BOINC/projects I can see the proper name for the climate project.
Is there any way I can re-index the projects inside the BOINC?
I don't know what has happened, and why it happened. I don't want to quit the climateprediction project with 20% of the work complete.
Does anyone have any ideas how can I solve this problem?
Txs and regards,
Piotr

If the servers are up it may straighten itself out the next time they are contacted. If not you may have to do xml surgery or detach and reattach the problem projects.

Txs for the reply.

It hasn't. Moreover, the server for climateprediction.net could not be contacted as the address for the project was wrong.

I was afraid that dettaching and attaching back could result in losing the progress on the sample.
Following your advice I edited the xml (client_state.xml) where I noticed 3 wrong addresses for the project and 1 correct one. I deleted the wrong ones, run the BOINC, updated the project, and all went back to normal incl. the project name.

Txs once again!
