Does it continue to run even though it gives that error?

This thread would suggest it is not a big problem. But of course if it stops running every two minutes, that is a big problem.

It looks like it's running okay according to your trickles. So you have a modem and allow BOINC to dial out?

Are you also running other BOINC projects on that PC?

If you are using a modem to connect, you could just disable BOINC network access and allow it once a day for trickles to be returned to the server.

To emphasize geophi's point.
The message happens when BOINC is trying to connect but can't.
It doesn't cause any problems.
Just disable BOINC access and enable it again when you want to connect.
I do:
Right-click on BOINC icon in system tray.
Left-click Disable BOINC network access.
When I want to connect:
Same thing to uncheck Disable BOINC network access.
Then just to check (and I forget sometimes)
Open BOINC manager:
Click on messages.
Check to see if 'Scheduler RPC... succeeded'.
Then Disable BOINC network access again.

Thank you both, I've switched off BOINC network access and all is now well
Thanks again.
