I have been running CPDN for a while now and have three other BOINC projects under a different email address. I want to group all BOINCs together and have submitted my new email and CPDN says that it has sent a validation email - haven't received any at all. CPDN still tells me 'Awaiting Verfication'. Any helpers ??

Hi Ian,

Did you create a new account or use the edit email address option on your account page? The latter is available as a link (in a tiny font) under the 'Email address' label on the account page, and <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/edit_email_form.php">this</a> is a direct link.

The confirmation mail is sent to the new email adress.
It might have been filtered out by some Spamfilter.
If you do not recieve the mail, just try the email change again.
It will work, even if it says 'Awaiting Verfication'.
I changed my mail adress yesterday on all my boinc accounts, and got the mail from all of them. On Seti, i accidentially deleted my mail before confirmation, so i did the change again and got a new mail.

Same thing going on here.
Someone was sending a ton of spam with my old one, so I changed it, and still no confermation.......

Seti sends emails there no problem, so I dont thinks it's a spam filter......

I had the same problem with my work email address. No problem with SETI, but the email from CPDN never arrived, despite trying several times. I am now registered with CPDN with my home email address. I'm not convinced that the problem is a spam trap. There is something more subtle going on here. That is unless more than one ISP has ox.ac.uk in its list of banned addresses, which I find hard to believe. My theory is that CPDN has some sort of filter which refuses attempts to send email to certain domains (like co.uk?), so the email is never sent in the first place.

We can't rule that out, though, as it proved a problem last year. Your firm may be using a commrcial filter program with a very long blacklist, and it is unlikely that much effort is made to correct it. Unless it is blocking mail from customers I doubt anyone else cares very much :(

It's much easier to get onto these lists than off them.

From within "My account," I was finally able to change my email address from the above to my current email address of: ericjwolfe@earthlink.net; however, when I responded to the email you sent I was not able to confirm. I had this display: Verify email address change
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: split_munged_email_addr() in /websites/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/user/confirm_email_change.php on line 19
Please correct so I can complet my email address change at your earliest convenience. Thanks for your extra time and trouble.
