I recieved a new Wu on May 4th 2005. As of today I had just gotten through 4%. After updating and recieveing credit the WU errored put as Follows: 817588 163229 4 May 2005 3:53:31 UTC 11 May 2005 14:54:52 UTC Over Client error Computing 165469.80 283.55 Has this happened before? Is it common. This is the second time I have lost a WU sine last August. There have been a few reports of a -1 error recently, which is what seems to have happened to you. See eg <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=2514">this thread</a>. There is a possible explanation there of what may have caused it, but not why it is suddenly occuring in the new BOINC versions. If it has happened only once I would just put it down to experience. At least you had not got too far into the run. If it keeps happening, then it is worth exploring fully. |

I also got a -1 crash after upgrading to BOINC 4.37; fortunately I had backed up the complete BOINC data, so I could restart the model from where it had left off (around 80% completion). I am doing backups more often now - not only for BOINC upgrades. |
