You appear to be using BOINC version 4.68, even though the latest dev version is 4.38. All your models using this version have failed. The latest reliable version for CPDN is 4.25 Versions above this, (the developement versions), are still under test, and are known to give scheduler problems. What you describe may be another example of this, as you only have 1 processor, and should therefore only get one wu. You have read the post by 'Farscape', so I can only suggest that if you keep having problems, that you follow his example. Les |

I understand i am using a development version. Version 4.68 is the latest CVS compile from the boinc_dev repository. Im testing the scheduler as jm7 (whos developed it) and myself are two of the people who came up with the definition of the new scheduler proposal. It isnt the client side that i am asking about, its the fact that i have downloaded this work unit has not been registered on the server. So somewhere along the line on the server something has gone awol. Nothing has been changed in what is sent in a RPC request, so what happens server side should have not changed. There are server problems, I'm afraid. I'd suggest ditching the mystery WU. Usually the problem is the other way around, with a WU shown as having been allocated to a host but not actually received. The server software has had to be wound back because the later version was not functioning correctly. This may give problems with BOINC versions >4.19. |
