I have been absent from the project for several months but as of yesterday was in a position to restart. I attached to cp.net from BOINC manager and downloaded the software. CP.NET started OK but after about 150 steps it locked the computer and I had to press the reset button. Out of curiosity I attached to CP.net with my linux box again everything started OK but again after about 100 steps (82 to be exact) the computer locked and reset was the only answer. Has anyone any suggestions as I would like to get back in but can't. I have been running a couple of other BOINC projects quite happily for the last 14 weeks. My boxes are identical AMD XP 2800+ processors, 1024Mb memory, the Windows box is using XP Home SP 2 and the linux box is using Mandrake 10.2. I've abandoned CP.NET for now (obviously) but would be very grateful for a solution to this problem, there are no error messages not machines just lock up solid. Cheers |

Looking at your list of failed models, there is a common denominator: [message] The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3) - exit code 3 (0x3) I don't know what path it's talking about, but the files should be here: C:/Program Files/BOINC/projects/climateprediction.net (Had to reverse the slashes to make them 'stick') There was a post a few months back from a person who's boot drive was F: He couldn't get BOINC / CPDN to work, but I can't recall the details. Any of this help? Les |
