I'll add to this thread. In case someone is still keeping tabs. I had started my own thread because I didn't go back far enough in the forums to find this one.

a WU I processed, 569549 was credited to another user. I processed ths WU in May and June of 2005.

here is a link to my post. It contains my host ID, the result ID and the result name. (88028, 851313 and 2wvj_300157290_0 respectively)

Since I didn't get the credit, I hope at least the science counted.

Hi,
It seems that one of my team mate has all his Wus misallocated (to 2 other users or to "anonymous"): <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_user.php?userid=11363">see here</a>.
It's becoming urgent to correct this bug, if you don't want other people to quit the project because of credit problems.

There was a post, possibly on the community forum, possibly by Thyme Lawn, that the missallocation problem has been fixed by new server software.
However, there will still be a lot of people affected because of slow computers, and / or running multiple projects, with CPDN having a low resource share.
Until these people wake up to the problem and dump the old models, there will continue to BE problems for some people.

Thanks, Les
This person had several machines, and was 50% on CP.
But he's fed up with all the bugs affecting CP and decide to change.
Nonetheless, I will tell him that the problem is fixed now, one never knows...

One of my computers has a work unit in the list on the website that is not actually on my computer.

Host 160840 shows four results, one done, three new, one actually in progress.

0ub5_100059698 is not anywhere to be found in my CPDN folder. All the others are there.

This host is a Linux machine and it downloads a work unit at the end of phase one, and this time appeared to download two. This happened June 25th.

That's a known BOINC problem, Pam. It happens when your computer doesn't receive the scheduler message assigning you a result. BOINC 4.45 has a partial solution. The full fix requires scheduler and client changes, and is planned for later in the summer.

&gt; Greetings from Andorra.

Josgre62,
Howdy from Austin, Texas. I want to see if I can persuade you to turning a small 5% or 10% of your CPU time to doing SETI for a week or two. We have a little cross team situation that you could make a big difference on ;-)

See <a href="http://www.boincsynergy.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11539#11539/href">this</a> thread on the BOINC Synergy forums for more info or you can get a hold of me at my <a href="http://home.austin.rr.com/skipsjunk/html/contact.html">website</a>. Thanx, Skip

I have added another post to say credit has been fixed.

If you have suspended/backed up and aborted any work units due to not getting credit, you can now check to see if the Work unit has been allocated to you and if so resume work on those work units.

If you have suffered a fall in credit, this could be because someone has got further with a work unit than you have and the credit has been reallocated to the person who got furthest with the work unit. You may want to check if you are still working on such a model. We do not want 2 people completing the same resultid so if someone is ahead of you or has completed the resultid (other people completing same Workunit ref is OK), then you may as well abort such a resultid and start getting credit again for a new model.

If you have had a jump in credit this might be because credit is now correctly attributed to you instead of incorrectly being allocated to someone else.
