Why does it take so long? I've downloaded my first unit and it's estimated time to complete is: 591hrs 57mins. Is this correct??????

I have SETI@home running too, and now have a 50% share in resources. Is it worth while continuing both?

Andrew

See this thread in the phpBB forum for a FAQ of sorts on this subject.

CP work units are very big. There is some discussion of this in the FAQ (see menu on left). 592hrs might be slightly longer than I would expect for a 3Ghz P4 but it could be right if the memmory is not the fastest.

>Is it worth while continuing both?
Sure why not? Resource share should pretty much be a personal preference of what projects you think deserve your crunching effort. For me, I think CP deserves a higher share ;) see
