I receive this error with CP. The program runs for approx. 10sec. then returns \"climateprediction.net - 2005-06-23 10:49:41 - Unrecoverable error for result 0rch_100055820_0 ( - exit code -5 (0xfffffffb))\". I have cleared slots, uninstalled the program, deleted the BIONC folder, reinstalled, but still get the same error. Have tried versions from 4.19 up to 4.45. This did not occur on my Intel P4 3.2EE Prescott.I have recently installed a P4 640 3.4Ghz EM64T. |

The problem with -5 errors, is that it's used for several things not covered specifically by other error codes. Have you checked the cpu temperature? From what I've read, the new 600 series processors need a bigger power supply, and more cooling. One report said that a fan in the side of the case, blowing directly onto the cpu heatsink was needed. Nice machine though. Should do well when the 64bit apps start coming out. Hope you get it going. |

I have Einstein and SETI running simultaneously, and the temp never goes higher than that. PSU is 480W, and I have a Coolermaster Case with 5 fans...2 of them 120mm, so I don't think it is a heat issue. |

It could be a software conflict. What antivirus software do you have? While it doesn't sound like the temperature, have you carried out any stability tests such as in http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2126 ? |

These errors may be the result of a hardware error, but are more likely because of a problem with the Science Application software and the Work Unit that it is trying to process. These errors shouild be reported to the Project so that they can try to find the problem in the software <a href="http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page">Link to Unoffical Wiki for BOINC, by Paul and Friends</a> |
