After having problems with registration I reloaded BOINC (4.19) and ClimatePrediction vers. (2.2.23). I am still prompted to register, but I now have two projects running. Is this a problem? I get an error msg. (after typing my user name and email address) that says that there was \"an error connecting to the server or my proxy settings may need adjusting. please try again later.\" I\'ve been try for the last week and a half. My msgs. are running real time, but I get an error (0) when I try a connection test during the registration phase. What am I doing wrong? Do I still have to register? Hi and welcome. You appear to be running 2 BOINC models which is fine for a HT processor. It is sensible to run 2 models not 3. If you haven't got a classic model or are very early in that model then you may want to backup your classic archive and uninstall classic. If you are well on in a classic model, it is sensible to finnish that model before uninstalling. You may want to suspend one of the BOINC models to ensure the classic model runs faster. I don't think you need register anywhere. HTH |

it sounds like you're running both BOINC and the old/classic CPDN (v. 2.2.23)? If you want to run the old/classic CPDN you should be running v. 2.2.29 which you can get from http://cpdn.comlab.ox.ac.uk/cpdn_2_2_29.exe But if you are running BOINC you need to "Attach" to the project http://climateprediction.net and enter your key which was emailed to you. |
