I managed to get a screen capture of a fortan error before the dialog vanished... <img src="http://home.mindspring.com/~dwaine_gonyier/misc/climpredcrash.gif"> Is this a known problem? Do I need to report this somewhere else? FYI, I am running F-Prot antivirus, and I suppose there is a small probability that the real-time virus monitor is interferring with file I/O operations (I have seen this with MailWasherPro and F-prot). Has anyone else noticed such a problem between climateprediction and F-prot AV? |

Hi I just got the same error. I am running Bitdefender antivirus and have been for a long time. <IMG src="http://ca.geocities.com/boinc@rogers.com/climateerror.jpg"> Dingo <IMG src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?cpid=57e98e51213986130bf3c136f9db957e"><IMG src='http://www.boincstats.com/stats/teambanner.php?teamname=BOINC@AUSTRALIA'><IMG src="http://www.danasoft.com/sig/BOINCAUSTRALIA.jpg"> |

hmm, yeah, the Fortran I/O code seems to be very sensitive to anti-virus programs going in and checking, esp since CPDN has a lot of files (and file I/O). I guess if you drop off the checking to be executables (and you feel confident about it) that would probably help things a lot (i.e. executable code will still be checked, but not CPDN (or other) data files). |
