I have started getting messages like this: 20-Jul-05 20:03:51|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 20-Jul-05 20:03:51|climateprediction.net|Requesting 8640 seconds of work, returning 0 results 20-Jul-05 20:03:52|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 20-Jul-05 20:03:52|climateprediction.net|General preferences have been updated 20-Jul-05 20:03:52|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent 20-Jul-05 20:03:52|climateprediction.net|Message from server: (there was work but you don\'t have enough disk space allocated) 20-Jul-05 20:03:52|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No disk space (you must free 27.0 MB before BOINC gets space). Updated the project in Boinc, and it came back with a message saying that it needed an additional 73Mb of disk space. That\'s right: I told it to leave LESS space, but it asked for MORE! Leave 0.2Gb wanted 27MB Leave 0.1Gb wanted 73Mb. Tried a few more options but cannot get it restarted. Leave 0.01 wanted 163Mb Leave 1Gb, wanted 827Mb Boinc is using 496Mb and there is 1.5Gb available. Help! |

How about Use no more than 30 GB Leave at least .1 GB Use no more than 99% of total space or something like that? All three may affect whether it thinks you have enough space. |

> How about > Use no more than 30 GB > Leave at least .1 GB > Use no more than 99% of total space > or something like that? > All three may affect whether it thinks you have enough space. > > That is very close to what I ended up with, but I changed it to your suggestion anyway. It still wants 73Mb. I have 1.1 Gb free now that I have turned off hibernation. What bugs me is how when the Leave at laest figure goes down, the amount needed can go either up or down. Wierd! |

Have you tried exiting BOINC and restarting it? Also with 496MB in BOINC, are there any short runs that can be deleted or full runs than can be written to CD and deleted? (BTW the maths looks a lot more sensible if you put a negative in front of the 73 and 163, so maybe exit & restarting BOINC with one of those setting.) _______________________________ Visit BOINC WIKI for help And join BOINC Synergy for all the news in one place. |

Thanks. One more question, "short runs or full runs" Where can I see that? |

Saving_Or_Deleting_CPDN_Result_Data_Files Is step 2b clear enough about what is a model in progress, what is a finished full run and what is a finished short run? If not, please do ask before doing anything. Alternatively you can look at your account, find the result and look for whether the phase 3 timestep 259248 trickle is present. _______________________________ Visit BOINC WIKI for help And join BOINC Synergy for all the news in one place. |
