I just upgraded to BOINC 4.45 on Windows XP. When I start the new version, I get the message \'The password you have provided is incorrect, please try again\'. I cannot see where to input a password, I cannot attach to either of my projects (the input is simply ignored) and I cannot access help.

I think that the password message is from Windows in regard to the screensaver.
This was implimented in a BOINC version around about the one you are using.

You are also crashing an awful lot of models.
I would suggest a read of <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2126"> this</a> and <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2124"> this.</a>

The password input is under file-&gt; select computer. Put in 'localhost' for the computer you are currently on. If you have not created a password just leave it blank.

[edit] If you have no password you can also just restart the manager and it should work.
