I attached to CPDN to start a new series of units and it downloaded 4.13. Now any unit i try blows up as in the log below. I tried detaching and then retattaching and get the same thing. what is it telling me? 8/6/2005 11:25:03 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 22d2_000117355_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) 8/6/2005 11:26:06 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 227b_000117145_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) 8/6/2005 11:32:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 22dw_000117385_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) Update 1: i checked the WIKI and it says it could be many things. I dont think its a heat problem since i just turned on my PC (its still cool). my hardware seams to function. Update 2: copy of the log. you see it bombs right away. 2005-08-06 23:35:03 [climateprediction.net] Started download of 22ew_000117421.zip 2005-08-06 23:35:04 [climateprediction.net] Finished download of 22ew_000117421.zip 2005-08-06 23:35:04 [climateprediction.net] Throughput 18279 bytes/sec 2005-08-06 23:35:04 [---] request_reschedule_cpus: files downloaded 2005-08-06 23:35:04 [climateprediction.net] Starting result 22ew_000117421_0 using hadsm3 version 4.13 2005-08-06 23:35:56 [climateprediction.net] Unrecoverable error for result 22ew_000117421_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) 2005-08-06 23:35:56 [---] request_reschedule_cpus: process exited |

Which host is this? (I can't find those WU being sent to you.) I can see a lot of -5 errors. Black Hole Sun is having similar problems . Thread is http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=3119 There was a detatch and reattach there as well but I don't really see how that could be affecting things. _______________________________ Visit <a href="http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Climateprediction_FAQ">BOINC WIKI</a> for help And join <a href="http://www.boincsynergy.com/">BOINC Synergy</a> for all the news in one place. |

OK I can see the result. When I look for your computers, that one is not listed but maybe it takes a while to appear. I'll try to remember to take a couple of looks later after 4 hour update or 12 hour update. Seems like Carl may be working on something from the thread mentioned earlier. |

I've been having the same problem for a couple of weeks! In fact, only my first few WU's completed. Am running SETI as well (have been for years) and it has been working fine. I've reset the project at least 5 times so far with no change. I've adjusted preferences repeatedly, no help there either. These are my two most recent failures. 08/06/2005 7:04:28 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 21eu_000116110_0 ( - exit code -5 (0xfffffffb)) 08/07/2005 2:53:31 AM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result 2276_000117140_0 ( - exit code -5 (0xfffffffb)) Now I'm receiving these messages that basically say I can only request contact with the server ONCE a day !?! 08/07/2005 12:08:42 PM|climateprediction.net|Resetting project 08/07/2005 12:08:42 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: exit_tasks 08/07/2005 12:08:42 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 08/07/2005 12:18:31 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 08/07/2005 12:18:34 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 08/07/2005 12:19:18 PM|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 08/07/2005 12:19:18 PM|climateprediction.net|Requesting 864000 seconds of work, returning 0 results 08/07/2005 12:19:20 PM|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 08/07/2005 12:19:20 PM|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent 08/07/2005 12:19:20 PM|climateprediction.net|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results) 08/07/2005 12:19:20 PM|climateprediction.net|No work from project |

"Once a day" is to put the brakes on unattended computers which crash a model and then download another parameter set. And again, and again, etc. Basically, hadsm 4.13 was to fix the problems that some people had with the graphics on ATI cards. Unfortunately, it has caused several different problems for almost everyone. Never fear, Carl is here. Standby for a fix. |

How can I block it from contacting CPDN just to have it send a client errored result from a remote location? <img border="0" src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1679.jpg" /> |

If you "own" the account page, go into the general preference setting and set "Leave at least" to a figure way above the hd size. This will stop it from getting any more parameter sets, although it may result in an endless string of "Not enough disk space" messages on the computer. (Under BOINC). There may be a more elegant way, but I think that anything short of getting at the computer will be similar. |

Still not sure how I've gotten any credit). I've suspended the project until a fixed is out there. At least I've got SETI to fall back to (assuming they're done fixing their power issues). Gotta laugh, insanity demands it. :> |
