I have not had a result get credit since April, but I\'ve had almost 20 results returned with a client error. My other boinc clients are working fine. I\'m running boinc v4.45. How can I fix this? Thanks, and sorry again for mistake. William D. Gagliardi |

Only 20 Hmm. I would have expected at least 1 per day or for your models to get far enough to trickle - I wonder if you may have more than one problem. The hostid may be useful. Have you tried any stability tests? Another possibility is problems with anti-virus software. > The hostid may be useful. Tracing through from the results that have trickled I found host ids 136233 and 89294. Both are Athlon Win 2K systems with only 128MB memory, so there's almost certainly going to be a lot of swapping going on. CPDN has an upper limit of 60MB and has a constant requirement for about 45MB.
Join us here |

Typically, I've only had a 10% to 15% share for CPDN, I use this as my backup project in case Seti goes down. Both host id's are from the same machine. I had to do a full reinstall of Winbloz a while back. > > The hostid may be useful. > > Tracing through from the results that have trickled I found host ids href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=136233">136233 > and href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=89294">89294. > Both are Athlon Win 2K systems with only 128MB memory, so there's almost > certainly going to be a lot of swapping going on. I have same problem - constanr exit code -5, processing 2 units give me errors, after this I suspend client and heavt tested my h-ware (five time 32M PI calc, 24 hours burn in), all tests end will success. Now I gest new workunits ... now error -5. Have yet 2 spare units in queue, if they will fail then abandon this project. Conan |

Hi Conan, I see you're running Windows 98SE. Unfortunately CPDN has serious compatability problems with that operating system and NT4. The problems are unlikely to be resolved in the near future (if at all).
Join us here |
