Greetings!

After computing 1-2% of the data there is always an unrecoverable error and al the work is lost. I have tried more than 20 times with the same result. I think I will abort the project unless somebody gives me some advices to solve this problem.
Using Boinc ver. 4.45, Win2K Pro, Pentium M 1,8, 512MB RAM

Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Catalin

All but one of your 13 failed results has returned the error message "There are no child processes to wait for. (0x80) - exit code 128 (0x80)", which normally indicates that the program is terminating unexpectedly.

Your Pentium M processor suggests that your running on a laptop, and I suspect that your problem could be overheating. CPDN stresses the CPU, memory and disk more than most applications you're likely to be running (including other BOINC projects).

You could always try the advice given on hardware <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2126">tests</a> and <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2124">mainenance</a> on the pbpBB forum.

I'm getting the same errors/issue on my desktop.
Last one indicated that there was a VB error (?)
