I\'m running ver 4.45 in shared user mode on Windows XP Professional SP2 I have dual 20\" flat screens connected to a Radeon 9800. A while after the BOINC screen saver kicks in, the primary monitor\'s display freaks out. Even logging off does not restore the situation. I have to boot the box. |

does this happen with other boinc projects; I'm not sure if the main boinc client is OK for dual-screen use as a screensaver? can you do the graphics OK from "Show Graphics" on the "Work" tab of boinc (the single window of graphics pops up?) |

Yes that does work. In fact if I try using the BOINC screen saver then initially it does work. The main monitor shows the graphic while the secondary is just black (which seems expected) but then after some time the main monitor display 'blows up' It still is trying to show the graphic but it is split and distorted in some strange way. I can't read it but can make out sort of what it is. Even if I log off it stays in this state. > does this happen with other boinc projects; I'm not sure if the main boinc > client is OK for dual-screen use as a screensaver? can you do the graphics OK > from "Show Graphics" on the "Work" tab of boinc (the single window of graphics > pops up?) > |
