This afternoon two of my computers that are too slow to finish on time downloaded work from CPDN. One is a P166, and the other is a P200 dual. jm7 |

The complete time for them is sometime in 2006 or 2007. I have kept them both for the moment as part of a test of BOINC, but I am going to abandon them eventually. I am not at all certain that the machines will be running in 3 years. jm7 |

This is discussed <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=297">here</a>. Carl decided to allow owners of machines below the minimum spec to try CPDN. Though it conflicts with normal BOINC protocols, I believe it was the right decision. It is important to avoid being too prescriptive about what people do with their own machines unless it actively harms the project. |

I know what the minimums are, and I was surprised when the WUs downloaded. jm7 |
