Your email address, (along with your name), is critical, as it is used to identify you.
So, new email, new person. You should be able to get to your old account / models by using your old email, but if you no longer have access to it, you'll have to start again with the new one.

Verizon has been a problem for users here for a couple of years.

The problem is that to change the e-mail back to the old address I have to be able to log into the account. To do that I have to be able to get the password. What happened was I changed the e-mail and the system logged me off before I could get the password for the new address. Now the system thinks the correct address is an account that (so far) Can't receive at Verizon. I am taking steps to fix this with verizon (not just for me but everyone). Verizon claims that they have tried to contact Climate Prediction and that they have received no response, and until they do they will not open up the e-mail system. Since this is obviously stupid, I am elevating the issue to a higher level.

Meantime, I am still sending trickles and can check my progress by looking myself up under the users page, I just can't login under my ID.

Thanks for the help, and if you have any other ideas, I am all ears.

Regards
Phil

Well I finally got the answer that solved this problem. If any of you ever need to know the account key for your Mac client -

1) locate the top level directory "Library" on your boot disk and open the directory
2) Open the "Application support" directory
3) Open the "Boinc Data" directory
4) There will be a file there named "account_climateprediction.net.xml", open that file using the TextEdit application which should be in your application folder.
5) the third line of the file will look something like ddbksj5ls8ela98wj7c92ks782ks8d0c

6) copy the part of the line between the > and the

One of the problems for Mac users, is that there are very few Mac users, and so there is little information available.
If you look at BOINCstats, you can find pie charts of this sort of thing. Macs are only about 2%.

In line 5 of your post, you have posted an alpha numeric string. If this is your key, edit your post IMMEDIATELY and delete the string.

It is like the password to your bank account. DON'T tell it to ANYONE!

This fact should not prevent the CP@H support people from reading and responding to posts on these boards asking for help. I think it says something that the market share for Mac is more like 8-10%. If only 2% are participating in this study, it tells me it is Mac hostile.

The posted "key" is a fake for illistrative purposes.
