I am new to the CPDN project. I have downloaded data to be processed, and after about 203:00hrs I got a 100% completed, then after connecting to the net (dial-up) it now gives me 7.95%, hrs. to completion as 2612:00. The unit I am working on is (hadsm 3.4.13) tmh_200200151_0 Can anyone explain to me why this is so. I am used to classic seti where when 100% is done then you get a new work unit, and start again. |

Hi, This is a well known bug, but nothing to worry about: A cpdn Wu has 3 phases, you probably completed the 1st and entered the 2nd phase Linux version shows percent done as proportion of phase instead of model. This leads to: a) crazy time to completion early in phase 2 and 3. b) Scheduling issues as a result of a). and c) Download of extra model when approaching end of phase 1. See here The second hypothesis is that your model has rewound at the beginning of the model (the very long completion time is a clue: 2600 hours for 1 phase is almost impossible) You should check in what phase you are by opening the viz: you'll be able to see the real progress of your Wu and if you're in Phase 1 or phase 2. If you're in phase 1, I suggest to reset the project. If you're in phase 2, I suggest to do nothing :o) But in your account I see only 4 trickles: do you have a problem with your internet connection and are you sure your model is really crunching ? 1 Phase=24 trickles. ----------------------------------------------- Boinc Wiki L'Alliance Francophone |

>Hello to you, Thanks for the info. I am not sure where I should go to check the viz: I am on a dial-up in the country, and so I do not have the computer connected all the time ( it will be on for blocks of a few hrs. of time) Hi, > This is a well known bug, but nothing to worry about: > A cpdn Wu has 3 phases, you probably completed the 1st and entered the 2nd > phase > > Linux version shows percent done as proportion of phase instead of model. > Thanks for the info. I am not sure where I should go to check the viz: There should be a file with execute permissions called viz in the climateprediction.net directory. You should be able to just ./viz from a terminal window. |

> I am assuming that this it the file you are talking about. peterhin@GNULinux01:~/BOINC/projects/climateprediction.net$ ./viz ./hadsm3viz_4.13_i686-pc-linux-gnu: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I am not sure where to go from here. FYI I am now down to 1880:00hrs with 11.5% done, so the hrs. are rolling dwn. > Thanks for the info.
