Hi Phil, go to the climateprediction.net website, look under "my cp.net" then "BOINC cp.net" click "Your account" (bottom right of the table) under preferences find "general" and click "view or edit" down the bottom click "edit preferences" then you'll want to change your "disk limits" to allow it to use more space you may have to change "Use no more than XX%" as well, if you have a small disk a word of warning, leave some space for windows, there are many reasons why, but it needs AT LEAST 1.5 times the amout of ram u have, safest bet is to set "Leave at least X Gbytes free" to 1 GB Lee |

Nagual As Lee said, you have to set this value in your preferences, otherwise the server doesn't know about it. |

I think this could be to do with Sulphur cycle starting. The sulphur cycle model are big and long. 2.5GB is needed before the end when it gets compressed to 608MB. They really need to sort out some options so people can choose between sulphur cycle and the standard slab model which only needs a maximum of around 750MB. Ideally if people haven't got 2.5GB to spare the system should automatically download the slab model. However choices would be a good first step. Edited 3GB down to 2.5Gb _______________________________ Visit BOINC WIKI for help And join BOINC Synergy for all the news in one place. |
