Hi,

I'm running Windows 2000, have a broadband Internet connection and my firewall is configured to allow BOINC to access the Internet.

BOINC has no trouble downloading work from the CPDN server/s but when my computer recently finished (100%) a whole unit(?) it didn't upload the results.

To be totally honest, I think that part of the upload was successful, but even if this is true, there is still several hundreds of megabytes of finished work on my computer that wont upload...

All BOINC keeps saying is "Temporarily failed upload of 0d2x_100042058_0_4.zip" and "Backing off 49 minutes and 19 seconds on transfer of file 0d2x_100042058_0_4.zip"... It says this about 0_5.zip, 0_3.zip, 0_2.zip and 0_1.zip as well... After BOINC has "backed off" for the amount of time it has chosen to, it tries to upload again, but it fails yet again. This has been going on for several days and I am coming to the conclusion that there is a problem somewhere and unless I sort it out, my computer's work will never get uploaded...

My computer is now over 5% into another work unit(?), but there isn't any point in giving my computer work to do, if it can't upload it when it's done...

Please help, thanks!

If your PC is trying to upload to the Bern server, I can understand why you are having problems. See this thread and associated links for more info.

OK, I see. So this is just a temporary thing that will get sorted out in due time. I don't mind the delay, I was just concerned that there might have been a problem my end that was preventing uploads...

If the problem still persists after the servers are fixed, I will post another thread.

Thanks

Sorry for the double post here, but I am still unable to upload to the servers. Does anybody know when they will be fixed, can anybody give some kind of estimate at least?

Thanks

They will be fixed when they get fixed. The problem is in Switzerland, not far from a flooded river.
You'll need to speak to the computer techs there for really accurate info, and I doubt that they talk to the public.

OK, I see. Oh well, just wondered if anybody had a rough idea how long it would be until they were fixed. Obviously not...

Thanks,
