My preferences is greyed out and it wont start work becasue it says I have not allocated enough disk space. But I can allocate more becasue preferences is greyed. This BOINC software is really not so good. I had trouble getting SETI to run also. I am using the GUI. Neither one worked (manager and menubar) same errors each time however the menudar preferences does not even address the issue in its preferences. |

Go to the blue menu to the left of here, and select "Your account". Then select "General" under Preferences, and adjust the values under "Limits on disk space and memory used by BOINC:" |

That is the correct answer, but not very intuitive. I think it would be quite easy to get the Preferences menu item from the File menu to link to this page where you can set things. Now we\'re puzzled and keep looking elsewhere for a solution. |

Sorry Bert, but it\'s up to users to familerise themselves with their Account page, and to keep on eye on it to see how their models are doing. |
