After the same results sitting in my transfer queue for over 2 1/2 weeks, is there any word when the upload problem will get fixed? I completed a full work unit, but I am not able to upload the ending files. Any information would help.

It's possible that the Bern server will come up in time for the upload to occur, but I think it hurts nothing to allow the PC to continue to try. The PC should be crunching on a new model even if the finished one isn't uploading yet.

The current project isn't finished. it seems that her PC is trying to upload intermediate results for one week. My understanding is that if the server comes back on line next week, anything will be ok, but if it comes later all the job will be lost.

If I'm right, the next question is will the server come up next week ?

Can you please spell out Carl's bad news. The link to what he says times out every time and I still don't know what the answer to this long standing problem is.

The message is on the community forum, at the Open Uni.
As stated in the news on the front page a month ago, (which is also on the OU servers), they are down for maintenance from 2-4 Sept.

Basically, Carl said that Bern hasn't answered his email, so no one knows when they will be up, or what is wrong.
But I'm guessing that it's related to the floods in Bern.

Intermediate results, (trickles), should be uploading OK, as the trickle server is at Oxford.
If they're not, it means there is a comms problem with your friend's computer.
