I just did a complete uninstall and reinstall of BOINC. All is well with the download now, however I have a WU Sulfur_cycle 4.21 and I have a \"Computation error\" msg. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.? Don\'t seem to see any info on the BOINC website, relating to this. Is this serious, and is there a fix, or do I just Abort this WU.?

I take it that you removed completely the old installation of boinc and any work units in progress?

With your new install did the model run for very long before giving you this error?

Have you tried stopping and restarting the model?

Is the computation error right at start up or boinc and / or has it rewound to retry the calculations?

With some more information we should be able to help

This may not be the same problem as carpinus, but it is similar. I have just upgraded to Fedora core 4 and reinstalled Boinc Manager 4.43. I attached to the CPDN project and it started downloading a \"sulphur_cycle\" work unit, but after compleitng the download the error message came \"download failed\" it went through this 3 times and then a message came that I had reached my daily limit and I would have to wait 24 hours before trying again.

I proceeded to attach to SETI@HOME and LHC@ATHOME and both are running fine.

Does the Sulphur_cycle not like linux as this would be the first I have tried to run it on Linux?

The problem is on the server. The link between results and workunits is broken for Sulphur_cycle and Carl is trying to fix the problem.
