In both widescreen and rotating world displays, there is discontinuties shown in GMT timeline. Are these related only presentation problems ie. mapping the temperatures to correct geographical area or is the model missing some coordinates?

Just a mapping problem.
If you want something better, try the Advanced Visualisation, or Martin Sykes\'s CPview.

As Les said, it is a cosmetic bug. Hadsm3 4.13 still has this problem. Sulphur version 4.19 has it fixed. Hopefully the next version of hadsm3 will also have it fixed.
