I have my boinc machine offline most of the time so I see a lot of the above message. Now, the machine has completed a work unit and the darn machine is just setting idle waiting for another 5 days to connect. I\'ve tried to reset the connection via the command line but no joy. How can I kick start this beast? |

In command-line, you can start boinc with: ./boinc -return_results_immediately In the gui, select CPDN and press the update button. Arnaud |

I\'m not a Linux person, so this is just a wild idea. Try setting your clock/calendar forward 4 days, 8 hours, and then restarting BOINC. And reset to the present time afterwards. |

I would try a newer version of BOINC, 4.19 is really outdated. (Don\'t forget to make a backup of your BOINC directory first) Linux Users Everywhere @ BOINC |

This is what I do: Stop the client. Open client_state.xml with a text editor. Go down 53 lines to min_rpc_time and change the value to 0(zero). Start the client and it will connect immediately. |
