On Friday I uploaded my completed work unit but my PC is failing to download a new one with the messages stating no work from project and deferring communication for project for 1 day.

Is this because I don\'t have enough free disk to run the sulphur cycle?

If it were just that you lacked the space for the sulphur experiment, but still had enough for the slab model, it should get one of those. So it must be something else.

1. What version of BOINC are you using? It may well be that you haven\'t updated it recently, and the server will no longer accept anything before v4.19. Version 4.45 is the one currently recommneded, though a further upgrade is due shortly. If upgrading to 4.45, uninstall the old version first (you won\'t lose your old data and account details).

2. Do you still have enough space for the slab model? You can make space by removing the data for the old experiment (over 300 MB zipped) onto a CD, or even delete altogether if you need space.

If those don\'t help, can you find any earlier messages from the time it first started trying to get a new workunit?

I had problems with v4.45 -- I think it would be better to use v4.19 until
a newer version is released and approved by CP staff.
