I started running CP a few weeks ago and had an error with my BIOS settings unrelated to CP or BOINC.
After resetting the BIOS I omitted changing the date within BIOS and when I started up PC it had a very old date set.
Unfortunately BOINC is set to auto start and now the report date for CP project has changed to 14 December 1901 at 06:45:52 ( UMT/GMT +10 ) This also prevents BOINC from automatically swapping between CP and SETI. Needless to say I have correct date & time set now.

Help :)

I have checked through all files and cannot find that specific date, but find many mentions of days, one of which is a negative number. I suspect these figures relate to many things but I cant find the one relating to reporting date.
Most of the figures relating to days seem to divide by 365 and equal HUNDREDS Of Years. ( I havent noted actual figures, too many to list.)
Any help greatly appreciated :-)
PS. I am not afraid to get into XML files if they are the culprit(s).
FYI Running WIN XP(SP2)on PIII @826 MHz 512MB Ram, plenty ( GBs ) of disc space.

Thanx in advance,

Tim

This has happened to at least one other person, but I don\'t remember the details.

My only advice at the moment is, have you tried suspending BOINC, exiting BOINC, turning off the computer, and then starting up again?

If this doesn\'t work, don\'t dispair. There\'s bound to be someone along soon with other ideas.

Check to see if the time is set correctly on your computer.....
