Whenever I start listening to streaming audio with RealPlayer, my model crashes. It does this for sulphur_cycle 4.19 and BOINC client 4.45, generating the following error: climateprediction.net 24/10/2005 23:18:10 Unrecoverable error for result 30e8_100162369_1 ( - exit code -5 (0xfffffffb)) Starting RealPlayer also causes Prime95 to crash, so I realise it is not specifically a problem with CPDN, but hoped someone here may be able to help. Other applications (including MS Media player) run fine, as does Prime95 the rest of the time. Cheers Tim |

Someone posted, (somewhere), about the same problem with streaming video with \"Real\". Only suggestion is: suspend BOINC before using it; unsuspend after. Or set prefs to: \"Don\'t run while I\'m using the computer\". |

Answer - Don\'t use Realplayer. (I.E. - get a real media player) |

real alternative instead Thanks - that works - much cleaner than RealPlayer - I never really like that, especially when it wasted weeks of work. And their technical support was almost non-existent.Took me ages to find the culprit, though. So, thanks for your help Cheers Tim |
