Hi guys & gals. I\'m sure this is an easy one.

How do I associate a specific machine with a specific preferences \'mode\'?

I\'ve set up my \'general\' prefs for 2 procs, and my \'home\' pref\'s for 1 proc. Now I\'d like to run my HT\'d P4\'s using 1 logical proc (home prefs) for CDPN BOINC, while the other logical proc finishes the currently running CPDN Classic model. Then, I\'ll switch completely over to BOINC using both logical procs (general prefs).

Problem is: I can\'t figure out how to set up an individual machine to use my \'home\' prefs! I\'ve been hunting all over the BOINC GUI, to no avail.

Anyone in the know?

Hi, simply go to your computer listing page:

Then select a computer, you should see a "combo box" for "Home/Work/School" and an "Update" button.

Most projects put this at the bottom of the screen.

Thanx for the quick replies, guys.

I actually found the correct webpage a little while ago, but even after changing the preferences, clicking 'update', and doing a manual update on the proj in the BOINC GUI, the machine still runs two CPDN models concurrently. Maybe it needs to trickle and update, or maybe since I've already got two models d/l'd, it continues running two. It's not a big deal, ATM, since both old Classic models are soon due to finish, anyway.

Maybe I'll give it another try tomorrow when I'm at least half awake!
