I got the following messages earlier today. What puzzles me is that 8415 KB doesn\'t exceed 9765 KB, so I don\'t undersand why it\'s complaining. Also I\'m not clear whether this has screwed up processing of the WU or not. 2005-10-29 01:08:09 [climateprediction.net] Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 2005-10-29 01:08:09 [climateprediction.net] Reason: To send trickle-up message 2005-10-29 01:08:09 [climateprediction.net] Note: not requesting new work or reporting results 2005-10-29 01:08:14 [climateprediction.net] Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 2005-10-29 01:09:21 [climateprediction.net] Started upload of 473a_300296086_1_1.zip 2005-10-29 01:09:21 [climateprediction.net] Started upload of 473a_300296086_1_2.zip 2005-10-29 01:13:15 [climateprediction.net] Finished upload of 473a_300296086_1_2.zip 2005-10-29 01:13:15 [climateprediction.net] Throughput 10951 bytes/sec 2005-10-29 01:18:04 [climateprediction.net] Error on file upload: file size (8415 KB) exceeds limit (9765 KB) 2005-10-29 01:18:04 [climateprediction.net] Permanently failed upload of 473a_300296086_1_1.zip 2005-10-29 01:18:04 [climateprediction.net] Giving up on upload of 473a_300296086_1_1.zip: server rejected file I recently upgraded from 4.25 to 5.2.2, and it\'s been behaving strangely (I\'m told it\'s in \"panic mode\") ever since. It\'s supposed to be spending 50% of its time on SETI, but refuses to process SETI at all. Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. It\'s Windows 2000 Professional. Brian Brian |

You\'re the 3rd person to post with this problem. We don\'t have an answer as yet, but see this post, and the linked thread. The panic mode is a different matter. |

We\'ve had a reply from Carl. quote: I\'ve just upgraded the Bern/BOINC software so hopefully it will be OK now. I think after the crash, the system recovery had an older \"file_upload_handler\" and also: Look in the \"Transfers\" tab of BOINC, it should automatically retry but you can click on a \"paused\" upload and retry from there. Hope your model works OK now. |
