Am i able to run CPDN with this setup? I\'ve tried multiple things to get it to run but with no luck so far.

I went ahead and attempted to install the fortran library files but for some reason the install could not locate a destination in which to install the files. So I went into the install package contents and unzipped the three fortran dylib files myself and placed them in /user/library/app support/boinc/projects/climate/, and also in /opt/ibmcmp/lib/, and still nothing, after restarting the software.

help someone, please.

thanks a bunches
Mike

In theory, yes. In the early days of the project, people with Macs were running OK. Then Apple \'improved\' their computers, and made them more powerful. And now lots of Mac users are having problems.
See for example, <a href=\"http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=3255\"> this thread,</a> and also <a href=\"http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=3358\"> this one.</a>

On the other hand, one user is happily crunching on a Mac Mini, as you can read <a href=\"http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2018&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=165\"> here</a> in the post by Chris Poecher.

All the problems seem to be only with G5 machines.
But the other projects which support Macs don\'t have these problems:
SETI@home, Predictor@home, Einstein@home.
All are running on my iMac G5. until the new version of the BOINC client CPDN was running too. Now I get only client errors.
