My machine just finished a hadsm work unit in 4.19.
It uploaded this weekend and download a sulphur cycle.
I just noticed the work tab still indicates the finished unit is \"ready to report\" and my account has no record of this weekends upload.

I see how out of date the boinc client is, but if I try to install the new version it prompts me to remove the old client. I don\'t want to do this & lose the completed work. Any advice?

If on the old client, you go to the Projects tab, and right-click on climateprediction.net, then choose Update, it should (after a little while) change the status on the server.

There has been a change to the server software. Uploaded trickles are now transferred by a program which runs every half hour, so it may take a little while for each one to show up on your account.
Likewise, credits are allocated by a program that runs every 12 hours.
Boinc will upload a \"Finished\" message the next time your computer trickles. There is a delay to ensure the data files have time to get there.

Upgrading will not touch your data files; only BOINC will be removed by using the Windows Remove program.
Removing first is necessary as there was a major change to BOINC at version 4.20
However, as always when about to make a change to software, make a backup of the entire BOINC folder first. To be sure, To be sure. :)
And make the backup AFTER you Suspend and then Exit BOINC.

edit
Oops. Beaten to it. :)
