When none of the work units would process after a couple of days, I reset the project and asked for new work. For over a day now, the system has refused to send any work units. (Messages from server: \"no work sent\" & \"(reached daily quota of 1 results)\".) How I reached a \'daily quota\' without sending or receiving any work is a mystery to me. I often have as many as 6-10 hours of CPU time every day, but I can\'t see continuing to waste my time just trying to get your project to work. Peter, Thanks for the advice. I followed the steps given in the linked message, but the files (\'libxlsmp.A.dylib\' \'libxlfmath.A.dylib\' and \'libxlf90.A.dylib\') you refer to are not in /Library/Application Support/Boinc Data/projects/climateprediction.net/ -- or anywhere else on this system. |

There\'s a link to a zip file for Macs on the download page. I don\'t know what\'s in it, but have you tried it? |

There\'s a link to a zip file for Macs on the download page. I don\'t know what\'s in it, but have you tried it? The link turns out to be an installer for the needed files. So I installed them, restarted BOINC, and reset the project. It downloaded a new set of data files, and as soon as BOINC started to run climateprediction, it returned \'computational error\' and went back to SETI. Is this a beta test? |

That won\'t get your computer running on this project. However, see <a href=\"http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=3358\"> this</a> thread on the Mac forum. The posts by Deborah Goldsmith may explain the problem, and the post by Thyme Lawn offers a small amount of hope for the future. For now, though, it looks as though you should stick with other projects. |
