Just wondering what I need to do to set up a team.
Do I need an external web site for the team ?
Any ideas or How-to\'s would be great.

Thanks
Peter

My suggestion is to think hard about why you want to create a team in the first place. Unless you are relying on friends and relations entirely, you have to persuade people that they should join your team rather than another Australian team, say, or some other affinity group. Do plenty of research by looking through the team list and see how many members they have and what their websites are like. When you are clear what you are offering that is different or better, then create a website giving expression to that. Even if you have experience of creating a website, that is going to take a while if it is to be good enough to convey your ideas properly. Only then can you really aim to launch the team properly.

One other thing. You won\'t be able to email participants, and spamming boards indiscriminately isn\'t liked. There is an opportunity to tell people about your team in Cafe CPDN on the messages board, but otherwise you are mainly limited to including your team\'s web link in your signature if you post on other things. People aren\'t going to be motivated to click on it unless you seem to be someone they would want to associate with, and to join unless your website makes them want to. :-)
