I\'ve got three more hosts, to run BOINC on. All my other projects run on them, but when i want to attach to CPDN i get the following: 24.11.2005 11:29:56||Fetching config info from http://climateprediction.net/get_project_config.php 24.11.2005 11:29:58||Missing account key CPDN already runs on three other clients of mine and also gets new work to to. I\'ve resetted the password, but it didn\'t help Any ideas? B.R. Joerg Mueller <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-2949.jpg"> |

Seems it wants the 32-character key you received in the original email. I had a similar issue a few days ago when I put a new machine online. Went in with the new Password but had to revert to the tried-and-true Account key to get started. Edit: See the end of Les\' post here, re. v.5.2.8 http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=3484#17363 Edit 2: Read other Threads where people indicate similar problems geting started. The advice goes with the Password. I sympathize and empathize with folks trying to get started in CPDN; it\'s very confusing. Hmmm,....and what, if i deleted the original mail? Where can i eventually get this key from? It\'s not the cross-project key, isn\'t it? <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-2949.jpg"> |

No, it\'s not the cross project key. It\'s a secret, so it doesn\'t appear anywhere in public. But, as you say that you have other computers running OK, look in the file: account_climateprediction.net, in your BOINC folder. It\'s the authenticator string. |

Or make things even easier for yourself by stopping BOINC on the new systems, copying the climate_prediction.net.xml file from one of your other systems and restarting BOINC.
