How can I get the BOINC program to load on start up. I have been having to manually go in and start it.

Hi, and welcome to the project and this forum.

That\'s an option offered during installation of boinc. There might be another way but the only way I know is to make the selection during the install process.

To that end, you can re-install boinc over your current installation. To do that, suspend CPDN, wait a few seconds for CPDN to show that it\'s suspended, then exit boinc. The CPDN files you\'ve already processed should remain untouched when re-installing boinc.

It\'s a good idea to make a backup of the entire boinc folder before changes are made and periodically even if no changes are made -- because CPDN Runs take a l-o-n-g time and it\'s better to recover than to lose hundreds of hours of work. (It is necessary for CPDN/boinc to be stopped when backups are made because so many files are open that things would get out of sync. otherwise.)

(Personally, I don\'t want boinc to start auto-magically. I\'d rather do it manually [from an icon] so that, if I want to do maintenance, I can control the sequence.)

[Edited for typo.]
