in boinc manager commands i have set it to
run based on prefs
and network on prefs

but when my pc boots up it always defalts to
run always and
network always

why ? and can i stop it

i am running win xp sp2 i think

BOINC 5.* records the run and network state in the client_state.xml file, so you should always start up with them in the state you last set them to.

they should but every time i log off they are set as i want them but when i log back on they have changed
i have tried to set then online in prefs as well but it makes no differance

Would you be able to take a copy of client_state.xml (it\'s in your BOINC installation directory) just before you shutdown and again when you reboot, compare them and report back on what\'s changed Paul?
