I think I must be missing something. The graphic sits and spins and I\'ve got a file in my \"Work\" area in the manager that is also listed on the screensaver but all the screensaver says is \"Model hasn\'t started.\" What am I missing?

What version of BOINC, and are you running several projects?
If \"yes\", one of the other projects may be running at the moment.
But it could be something else.
E.G. have you downloaded and installed the Mac application library files from our Download page?

Also, while a spinning globe screen saver may be nice to watch, it takes up cpu clock cycles, which are better spent crunching the loooong, sloooow, climate models. On this project, it is recommended that the screen saver be set to blank.

The Mac library files were the key. That\'s what I get for not reading everything :-)

The screensaver is also nice for me since I am a high school teacher. While running SETI@home the screensaver has gotten a lot of students curious and I\'ve been able to teach them not only about that project, but about distributed computing in general. After updating to BOINC because of the obsolesence of SETI classic I am excited for them to see this project and know about the other projects available through BOINC. I think there may be extra credit in their future.
